To Achieve Life’s Purpose

Sisya: "Guru, What is life and what should we do to achieve life’s purpose?"
Guru: "Dear all-Life is a pilgrimage to God and the path lies before you. But, unless you take the first step forward and follow it with succeeding steps, how can you reach it?
Start with courage, faith, joy and steadiness, you will certainly succeed. The mind and the intellect are like two bullocks tied to a cart.

The bullocks are not used to the road of Truth, Righteousness, Peace and Love, and so they drag the cart along the road familiar to them, namely, falsehood, injustice, worry and hatred. You have to train the bullocks to tread the right path, so that they may not bring disaster to themselves and to others.
Every object or being in the world will give both pleasure and pain. Control and train your mind to see this real nature of the objective world. That is the real fruit of education. Manggalamastu.

Practicing To Seeing Divinity In Everyone-Everyday

Sisya: "Guru, Why should we practice seeing Divinity in everyone, every single day?"
Guru: "Dear all-Become like the flute, a hollow reed, straight, light, with no substance to hinder His breath. Then He will come and pick you up and breathe divine music through you, playing upon you with a delicate touch. In His hand the infinitesimal will be transmuted into the Infinite.
Intensify the love that is present within you. It is a sacred gift. Expand your love so that all beings can share in it.
Your love must be such that if someone around you is sad, you feel sad and if they are happy, you feel that happiness. Have your love fixed and devoted on the Lord, whether your petty wishes get fulfilled or not.
Never let go, under any circumstances, this precious treasure - your Love for God".

Develop Attachment For The God

Sisya: "Guru, What is the attachment we must hold on to, every moment of our life".
Guru: "Dear all-Develop attachment for the Lord, who will always be with you wherever you go. Only the years that you have lived with the Lord and for the Lord, are to be counted as true living.
Develop prema (divine love) towards Him, parama-prema (supreme love) of which He is the embodiment. Never give room for doubts and hesitations or questions to test the Lord’s love.
Do not entertain questions such as, “Why have my troubles not ended? Does He not love me enough? Why is He ignoring Me? Why is it that He did not speak to me?”
Never think that God does not care for you and that He does not know you. God is full of selfless love and truly cares for you always.
In fact every act of His, is for your wellbeing!"

Union With God

Sisya: "Guru, What is the best way to attain union with God?"
Guru: "Dear all-There are two very important statements in the Bhagavad Gita, which you must take to heart and profit from: Shraddhavan Labhate Jnanam (The one steady in faith gains wisdom and liberation) and Samshayaathma Vinashyathi (Doubt leads to perdition, spiritual ruin). Dwell on these axioms and practice the spiritual disciplines of repetition of the Lord’s name and meditation on His form.
Gopis of Brindavan yearned for the Lord with purity in their hearts and attained union with Him. You too must fill your mind with His beautiful form and contemplate on the glory of the Lord. Then you can attain Divinity. This is the pursuit that is worthy, not the pursuit of fame, nor the friendship of the famous.

The Suffer Cause

Sisya: "Guru, What is the source of the various forms of attachment we suffer from?"
Guru: "Dear all- we take great care to see that the house that our own and live in is charming, impressive and comfortable! We get angry even if a poster is pasted on its walls. Then one day, we sell it.
It is no longer the object of our attachment. Even if lightning strikes it, we are not disturbed! With the money we got, we purchase some fields. Now our attachment moves to the fields. Over a period of time, we sell them and put the money in a bank. Now, our attachment grows towards the bank account. Now what exactly is us and what are we attached to? It is not the house, fields, or money; it is prestige, comfort, show, greed – things that arose in our mind as desires!
Truly it is our ego that we are attached to. Each of us must take up some spiritual effort in order to cleanse the mind of lust and greed, of envy and hate.

PRESERVE OUR CHILDREN

Sisya: "Guru, What should we do to bring out and preserve the native goodness in children?"
Guru: "Dear all-The human heart when young is very soft. It responds to grief and pain in fellow beings. It is the example of elders, the lessons they receive from parents, the company they get into, and the wrong training they receive in school and society that harden their hearts into stone.
Parents must not find fault with others in the vicinity of children or show their hatred or envy before their tender minds.
Children should be taught to share the grief and joy of others; and to be never jealous of others happiness or success. Instead of giving room to the feeling of envy, teach them to emulate the hard work of the successful, to pray for intelligence, or for a sharper memory. Keep those young hearts soft.

To Knowing The Right Action

Sisya: "Guru, How do we know what is the right course of action for us?"
Guru: "Dear all-There is no use in asking a doctor to advise you about the plans for the building you propose to raise, nor is it wise to ask an engineer to assuage the pain. Go to the proper Guru and learn from him the cardinal principles to guide your lives.
Take time to understand, internalize and practice – what is your code of conduct, what does it allow, what does it condemn, why should it be followed? You must evolve your own code of conduct (Athma Dharma) centred on the Divine, appropriate to your situation, which is based on the firm belief on the omnipresence and omnipotence of the Divine Self which pervades the entire Universe."

How To Have Dictum "Love All Serve All

Sisya: "Guru, What should we do to have a dictum Love All Serve All in our daily life?"
Guru: "Dear all-The first step to love all and serve all is to expand love in your own homes. You must revere and please your parents who gave you this chance to live and learn. If you ill-treat them or inflict grief on their minds, how can you ever gladden others by service and understanding? You know that when a balloon is blown, it bursts and the air inside it merges with the vast limitless expanse outside.
Similarly your love must fill your home, then the society you live, and finally burst open to spread in the Universe. A drop of water held in the palm is soon evaporated; but drop it into the sea and it survives as a part of the sea.
It assumes the name and the taste, the majesty and might of the sea! Cultivate Love; sow the seeds of love in all hearts, everywhere around you. That is my wish to all of you"

Ramayana Always Important & Relevan

Sisya: "Guru, Why is Ramayana still and always important and relevant for us. What is the main principal of these history?"
Guru: Dear all-The Rama principle (Tattva) is laden with many subtle secrets. The Rama history is of exemplary excellence ethically, spiritually and materially as well. Rama was the embodiment of the four cardinal principles: truth, righteousness, love, and peace.
The history of Rama teaches us how one should live in the world and conduct himself in the family as well as in society. It also teaches us how one should retain one’s individuality and shape one’s personality.
Only when we shape ourselves into a strong personality can we conduct ourselves ideally in the family and in society. He also enshrined in Himself the principles of equanimity, unity and bliss.
This principle of bliss is latent in every human heart. Understand and internalize that each and every one of you have a right to realise and enjoy this principle of bliss, which is the real Rama Tattva.

Recitation Of And Meditation

Sisya: "Guru, Why is recitation of and mediation on the divine name essential?"
Guru: Dear all-Just as fish can live only when it is immersed in water, so too man is an animal that can live well only when immersed in bliss (ananda). One must have ananda not only at home and society but more importantly, in the heart as well. In fact the ananda in the heart spreads joy all around. The heart is the spring of bliss which has to be charged by constant meditation, recitation and the intermittent dwelling on the glory, the grace and the manifestations of the Lord (smarana, chethana and manana).
Without giving way to doubt or despair, hold fast to the goal and never turn back. The one devoted to God knows no failure. The name of the Lord, if taken sincerely will help you overcome all obstacles. When the Saviour is by your side, why doubt whether you will be saved?
